MotorCity Rally Club LLC is the company that powers the MotorCity Gumball Rally event. We are the Midwest’s premier luxury automotive and lifestyle rally. This event is two days taking place September 14th- 15th.

MotorCity Rally Club LLC presents the MotorCity Gumball Rally. This event is road rally around Midwest giving away cash and prizes while giving back and raising awareness in our community. We are the Midwest’s premier luxury automotive and lifestyle rally that will tour the Midwest as our drivers navigate back roads and two lane highways while enjoying the natural beauty of the scenery.
We will start out on Saturday, September 14, 2013 in Detroit, MI and end on Sunday September 15 at a location TBD, with an overnight stay In Downtown Indianapolis. We will be hosting dinner and activities after check-in (included with your registration). Each day will have five check points with checkpoint challenges interspersed among them. This is a rally for all so if it has 4 wheels, bring it! Bring your daily driver, luxury car, classic car, muscle car, hot rod, street rod, rat rod or super car out for the weekend and have a GREAT time with us!
The whole weekend will start on Friday night with a drivers meeting in Detroit MI location yet to be revealed. At that time we will announce to the drivers where in Detroit the rally will begin and what time we will launch. Each team will also receive an information packet at the drivers meeting explaining the time calculation formula and other various details pertinent to the trip.
At the official launch on Saturday morning, each team will scan a QR code and take off. Release of the vehicles will be staggered. Once a team scans the code, they will receive a clue as to where the first checkpoint is. Don’t worry if you can’t figure out a checkpoint clue. For a deduction, you can call in to the staff and we will tell you. Each checkpoint will have a secret target time with a small margin of error to get a perfect score. For every minute outside of that window you are late, you will lose points. For every minute outside of that window you are early, you will lose points. Drivers are expected to follow the rules of the road. Speeding does not help you! At the end of the day on Saturday, we will be staying at the Hilton in Downtown Indianapolis. Once all teams are checked in, we will be hosting a banquet that will be followed by a party with some fun activities!
Sunday morning, all drivers will scan out of Hilton Indianapolis and the rally will resume, completing the circuit and ending back in the greater Detroit area. Once back we will announce the winners of the rally and award all prizes accordingly after the scores are tallied… If you have any other questions please don’t hesitate to contact us at 586-533-8000.
